Visitors information

Our car park is free of charge and is close to all hospital services. Reception staff will arrange taxi if required.

The Blackburn train station the nearest train station, located approximately 2.6 kilometres - a six minute drive from the hospital.

Bus services (routes No. 765 and No. 703) operate along Blackburn and Canterbury Rds.

Smoking

Bellbird Private Hospital is smoke free.

Alcohol

Visitors or patients are not permitted to bring alcohol into the hospital. Alcohol can have significant adverse effects when combined with medications.

Food

A patient’s diet whilst they are in hospital is related to their clinical condition and/or their stage of recovery, it is aimed to aid their path to a full recovery.

For this reason any food brought by visitors should only be consumed in consultation with nursing staff.

Visitors are welcome 7 days a week during the times listed below.

10am to 1pm

Patient rest time 1pm to 3pm

3pm to 8pm

Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult when visiting the hospital.

Visitors may be required to follow certain procedures, depending on the condition of the patient.

The nursing staff will provide specific instructions for visiting these patients.

Reception Hours

8.00am to 6.00pm from Monday to Friday

9.00am to 12.00pm Saturday and Sunday

Reception staff can be reached on extension 2333 during these hours.

Consulting Suites Reception Hours

8.00am to 6.00pm from Monday to Friday

Closed on weekends and public holidays.
